The migration is a year-round, cyclical event. The best time for your safari depends on which part of the Serengeti you visit. The herds are typically in the Central and Southern Serengeti from December to July, and in the Northern Serengeti from August to November for the dramatic river crossings. We tailor game drives based on the real-time location of the herds.

Yes, this safari can be a fantastic family adventure. We can recommend specific accommodations and potentially adjust the pace to be more suitable for children. Please discuss your family's needs with us at the time of booking.

Tanzania is widely regarded as one of the most secure and welcoming tourist destinations in Africa. As with travel anywhere, we suggest exercising common-sense safety measures, particularly in cities.

We offer a selection of accommodations to match your preference and budget, ranging from comfortable lodges to authentic tented camps that provide an immersive bush experience without forgoing essential comforts.

The safari itself is not physically demanding, as most of the time is spent in the vehicle. However, there are long drives between parks on sometimes bumpy roads. The descent and ascent into the Ngorongoro Crater involve driving on a steep track.

We recommend neutral-colored clothing, a warm layer for cool mornings, a sun hat, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, binoculars, and a good camera. A detailed packing list will be provided upon confirmation of your booking.
